Independence from what?
Asks British author and BBC broadcaster Roy Sheppard
Ah, the 4th of July. The day America officially threw
out the British.
We Brits and you Americans haven’t always seen eye-to-eye, have
we? We’re so different – for a start WE speak English, and
secondly when we stage a world sporting event, we actually
invite other countries to participate!
I
believe you were far too premature when you chucked us out. Let
me explain.
In a nutshell, as a result of what I will call the “Tea Tax
Tyranny” of the British Government, your founding
fathers ignited a revolution and 'fired the shot heard 'round
the world' which led to the creation of the
most powerful nation on the planet. Yet it all began when a
group of discontented men, dressed as red Indians (er, sorry
‘native Americans’) dumped 90,000 pounds of perfectly good China
tea into Boston Harbor (or as WE spell it 'Harbour'). As an aside, by hiding their true
identity, was this the night America’s famous blame culture was
also conceived?
Look - all we wanted was 3 pennies in tax per pound of tea.
That’s what we needed in order to pay off the massive debts the
British government had accumulated fighting a long and very
expensive war. I’m sure you’ll understand – wars are incredibly
expensive – whether they’re about tea, oil or visitation rights.
On the tax front, how have you been doing since then?!
Fighting against tyranny
continues of course. But its fascinating to observe as a non-American how in the
United States today, it has become impossible for any honest,
reasonable and sensitive man to publicly challenge ANY tyrant
who wears lipstick!
If you do, vicious false accusations of being a misogynist will
automatically follow.
You can be Al Qaeda personified– but if you wear high-heels – no
one will dare touch you.
A
vice-like grip has been applied to the crotch of American men. And
its getting tighter.
Doesn’t anyone see what is being allowed to happen to even the
‘nice guys’?
Freedom of expression and freedom of the press lie at the heart
of America. On any other topic, the media would be up in arms
if the government tried to stop them addressing such widespread
suppression of American citizens. Indeed, male journalists
would, it appears, prefer to risk bombs and bullets to report
from a war zone than face the wrath of a well-organized domestic
feminist.
Could someone explain to a British bloke how it was possible for
such a blatant piece of discrimination against men to be made
law when “The Violence Against Women Act” was passed? You now
have a law that allows any unscrupulous woman to just say she
‘feels’ threatened by a man. The police will arrest him. Even
your police are now so afraid of not acting against a man, ‘just in
case’ the reported threat was a genuine one.
American law is based on the assumption of innocence until
proven guilty. Except when it comes to men being accused of
alleged crimes against women. All too often innocent men are now
treated as though they are guilty until proven innocent.
Malicious women can so easily misuse the American ‘justice’
system to shred the reputations and integrity of good men.
No one is
allowed to
forget there are some truly evil men in the world –
and some are still allowed to walk as free men in America. They
maim and murder more men than women. But how can it be fair in
America or in any other country, when lawmakers are persuaded to
give
preferential treatment to women as part of their demands for
equality. All the while making you believe that women are always
the victims of an unjust ‘patriarchal model’.
A
life sentence in a State Penitentiary for any man who brutalizes
a woman is not punishment enough any more, it seems. He now
‘deserves’ chemical castration too. Only men-hating women could
push that onto the American people! By doing so, your eighth
amendment that prohibits ‘cruel and unusual punishments
inflicted’ will also be cast aside.
It is utterly unimaginable that any similar punishment for an
equally guilty woman would ever be tolerated in a civilized
society. Yet it can be done to a man.
Despite decades of so called ‘facts’ about violent men, the
incidence of domestic abuse by women is almost the same as men
abusing women. Some shriek that this is not true, but find
it very difficult to explain why domestic abuse amongst
co-habiting lesbians is similar to abuse statistics between
heterosexual couples!
And you might be shocked to discover that women are responsible
for 56% of all child abuse cases. At just 8%, the biological
father is statistically the least likely to abuse their
children. If a woman chooses to exclude the father from the
lives of ‘her’ children she is allowed, even encouraged to do so
by family lawyers.
How unscrupulous and vindictive women prey on innocent men and
women is the subject of a book I have written with Mary T
Cleary, a feisty Irish women and a world expert on the domestic
abuse of men BY women. This includes physical, psychological,
financial and even sexual abuse. It’s a serious attempt to
address this last taboo in society.
Since our book was published in the UK, we have received horrific
stories of how innocent men and women in the United States have
been abused and falsely accused of all manner of non-existent
crimes. True victims are often powerless to defend themselves.
They need practical help.
In Europe, our book has a deliberately controversial title “That
Bitch: Protect Yourself Against Women with Malicious Intent”.
For the record – it is NOT misogynistic! Indeed, some of the
biggest supporters of this book are women.
Because we were told that you can't call even an evil woman a
bitch in America, we were persuaded to tone it
down dramatically by changing the title to “Venus: The Dark
Side”.
Were we also unwittingly, falling into the trap of trying to
appease the ‘Domestic Terrorists’ we have written about.
By a strange quirk, Amazon sells both titles. They are exactly
the same book. However, sales of “That Bitch” there so far
outstrip those of “Venus” by about ten to one.
My co-author Mary T Cleary has alerted me to the antics of
“Feminist Fundamentalists” she has experienced for the past 10
years. This included being physically barred from attending a
domestic violence conference in an attempt to stop her from
telling the truth about male victims.
So I’m bracing myself. But someone has to start this. A tax of 3
pennies per pound of tea was enough to incite a revolution by
honorable men a few hundred years ago.
Guys – what has happened to you?
Happy Independence Day America. We Brits miss you.
